AI Use Policy last updated: October 6, 2026
I use AI every day, in the tools I build, the words I write and the way I run my business. You deserve to know how, so here it is in plain language. If anything here leaves you with a question, email hello@merakiand.co.
The short version
- AI is a tool I use, not a replacement for judgment. I decide, I review, and I’m responsible for everything that carries my name.
- The math in my Toolkit is done by code, never by AI. Two tools, the Revenue Roadmap and Brand North Star, offer optional AI drafts.
- What you send through those AI drafts isn’t used to train AI models. My AI provider, Anthropic, may not train its models on content sent through its business service.
- If we work together, I’ll tell you how I plan to use AI on your project before we start, and you can ask me not to.
- I never use AI to make up testimonials, reviews, client stories or statistics.
How I use AI in my business
- Building tools and websites. I build with AI coding assistants. The Purposepreneur Toolkit was made this way. I decide what gets built and how it should work, check every calculation against an answer key, review security before anything goes live, and I’m responsible for how it behaves.
- Writing. AI is my writing partner for blog posts and site copy. Every piece starts from my own outlines, plans or rough drafts, built on my frameworks, experience and voice. AI helps me draft and edit, then I review, edit and approve everything before it’s published. Facts and figures are checked against their sources.
- Research and planning. I use AI to research, summarize and organize ideas, then check what matters before I rely on it.
- Photos and graphics. The photos on this site are licensed stock photography or photos of me, and the graphics are designed for this site. I don’t present AI-generated people as real clients, or as me.
AI in the Purposepreneur Toolkit
- Calculations are code, not AI. Rates, taxes, paychecks and dates are worked out by formulas, with tax figures checked against official sources each year.
- Optional AI drafts. The Revenue Roadmap and Brand North Star can write a first draft for you using Anthropic’s Claude. When you ask for a draft, the answers you’ve entered for that request are sent to Anthropic to write the text. The Privacy Policy explains how that information is handled.
- Drafts are suggestions. Read and edit them before you use them. You’re always in charge of what you keep.
- Fair use limits. Each person has a monthly number of drafts, which keeps the feature fast and affordable for everyone.
- No AI in the rest. The Profit Calculator, Offer Ladder, Pay Yourself Planner, Launch Countdown, Business Pulse, Runway to Leap and Brand Alchemy don’t use AI at all.
When we work together
- I’ll be upfront. Before your project starts, I’ll tell you where AI fits in my process, like research, first drafts or code assistance.
- Your information stays protected. I share only what’s needed, and only with AI tools whose business terms don’t allow them to train on your content.
- A human reviews everything. You get work I’ve checked and stand behind, not raw AI output.
- Your deliverables are yours as set out in our agreement. Using AI along the way doesn’t change that.
- Prefer no AI? Tell me. We’ll agree what that means for your project’s scope and timing.
What I won’t use AI for
- Making up testimonials, reviews, client stories, results or statistics.
- Pretending to be a person, or letting AI make decisions about you.
- Giving financial, tax, legal or medical advice. My tools are for planning and education, and I’ll always point you to a professional for your own situation.
Questions
AI changes quickly, and so will this page. I’ll update it when my tools or my approach change. If you’d like to know more about how AI touches anything you buy from me or anything we’re working on together, email hello@merakiand.co.
