Three next steps

Picked for your numbers, starting with the one that matters most.

Income you own vs. income you’re renting

Before

  • Hoping the next brand deal comes through
  • Followers you can’t reach off the app
  • Bracing for every algorithm change
  • No idea how long you’d last if deals dried up

After

  • Your biggest source and its share, in one number
  • A clear picture of the audience you own
  • A plan for the next change, not panic
  • Your runway, in months

Hi there, I’m Leeah.

I’ve been making things online since Microsoft Paint and GeoCities, and doing it professionally for 20+ years. I’ve watched platforms rise, change the rules and fade. Here’s what I believe after all that time: the creators who last aren’t the ones with the most followers. They’re the ones who own something. So I built this influencer income calculator to show you, in a few minutes, how much of your income and audience is really yours.

Brand deals are a bonus. What you own is the business.

Your next step

Build an offer of your own

Once you know how much rides on brand deals, the Offer Ladder helps you plan offers of your own, from a small first product to your signature offer, and price each one from your real numbers. That’s how brand deals become a bonus instead of your rent.

Frequently asked questions

You enter what a typical month brings in from each source, like brand deals, affiliate links, platform payouts and your own offers, plus where your audience lives. The Own-It Audit finds your biggest source, shows its share of your income and your zone on my 75/50 rule of thumb, then works out what’s left if that source stopped.

With income they control: digital products, services, coaching, workshops, courses or memberships, with affiliate links and platform payouts as extras. The audit shows how much of your income already comes from offers you own. My guide to influencer income streams walks through each option.

It’s my rule of thumb, not research. If over 75% of your income comes from one source, you’re fragile. Between 50 and 75%, you’re getting sturdier. Under 50%, you’re resilient, because no single platform or partner can sink you. The audit shows which zone you’re in today.

Rented is Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, where an algorithm decides who sees you. Leased is YouTube, Pinterest, podcasts and search, which keep working longer but still follow someone else’s rules, like YouTube’s Partner Program requirements. Owned is your email list, your website and your products. Nobody can switch those off.

Fewer than you’d think, once you sell something of your own. A small audience that trusts you can buy a guide, a workshop or your time long before brands come calling. That’s why the audit looks at how much of your audience you can actually reach, not just the follower count.

No. It’s a planning tool that helps you see your own numbers clearly. Before a big money or tax decision, it’s always worth talking to an accountant or financial planner about your situation.

Start with the first step the audit gives you. To plan an offer of your own, try the Offer Ladder. To turn lumpy brand deal months into a steady paycheck, try the Pay Yourself Planner. Both are part of the Purposepreneur™ Toolkit.
